When Paris sweetens your soul – A shop window you’ll never forget!!!

By Vivi Margariti

Have you ever found yourself stopping in front of a shop window, staring like a child? That happened to me on a quiet street in Paris — Rue Jean Nicot — and I wasn’t even looking for it.

I was walking, lost in thought, when suddenly this little patisserie caught my eye. Nothing flashy. Nothing over the top. But absolutely beautiful.
A window full of light, color, and temptation — éclairs, tarts, macarons, quiche, all lined up like precious gems.

Éclair Chocolat & Myrtille (€3.70): Smooth cream wrapped in glossy chocolate or blueberry glaze.
Tarte Citron & Citron Meringuée (€4.30–€4.40): Tangy lemon freshness topped with dreamy meringue.
Cheesecake with forest berries (€4.50): Crumbly biscuit base, creamy filling, and juicy fruit on top.
Tartelette Chocolat (€4.50): A rich chocolate revelation with an elegant melt-in-your-mouth texture.
Macarons: Light, colorful, delicate — in flavors that dance on the tongue.

And because life also needs a touch of salty… just above the sweets were savory quiches: Lorraine, spinach with goat cheese, buttery and golden, with a crispy crust and full flavor.

I didn’t go in right away.
I stood there for a few long minutes — just watching, breathing in the scent, smiling quietly to myself.

And I thought:
“The most genuine moments in life are often hidden in the simplest things — like a dessert waiting in a quiet corner, behind a window reflecting the soul of the city.”

Then I gave in to temptation.
